Deluge Berlin starts from one idea: the storm is ineluctable. It always comes from elsewhere, looks unfamiliar, and gets labeled as a threat. People brace for impact. They expect damage. But along with disruption comes renewal and enrichment.

Immigrants and queer people are often treated like a storm: something threathening, disruptive, coming from far away to bring chaos. But we are the energy that cracks open what’s stagnant. We bring strange ideas, hybrid tastes, contradictions, questions nobody else is asking. We unsettle, and in doing so, we renew.

Berlin knows this. Almost a million people here come from almost 200 different countries. Roughly one in five residents wasn’t born in Germany. That isn’t a statistic, it’s a force, a constant flow of identities, languages, and ways of seeing the world.


Deluge Berlin is rooted in the city, but we don’t pretend Berlin is one thing. It never has been. We are part of a place built on crossings — where cultures overlap, collide, and create something impossible to define cleanly.
We’re not here to blend in quietly. We’re a storm feeding vitality into the places we touch and merge with. That’s why our focus is to be culturally relevant, grounded in Berlin’s local reality, but fully aware of the intersections that shape it.

We build from diversity, friction, and movement.
Because every storm carries renewal.
And we are simultaneously channelling and manifesting this unstoppable energy.
